The year was 1996, the place Sabold Elementary School for my 4th grade spelling bee. The librarian announced "the word is 'sprang', 'sprang.'" So I spelled sprang and was shocked to hear the buzzer ring out. "I'm sorry, that's incorrect. Sprain as in sprain my ankle." I spelled sprang right, but in her thick Pennsylvania accent the librarian had mispronounced my word and I was out. That's what this cap reminds me of. That and the girl who won the spelling bee had her mom in the back of the audience signaling how to spell the words. Don't sleep on this cap, hopefully you sprang out of your chair to find your order one.
This handmade cycling cap is made from a lightweight and breathable 100% cotton fabric with a 3-panel design for a flat, rounded fit underneath the helmet. The exterior has a bright blue base with a subtle all over alphabet pattern and the brim underside is black. It features a flexible, machine washable plastic brim and the inside is finished with a black 1.5" elasticated terry cloth sweatband to keep the sweat out of your eyes and the cap comfortably on your head.
